Educational Facilities
Orange County has three
school districts, Orleans, Paoli and Springs Valley. There are
two vocational schools in the area.
North Lawrence Vocational
School is located in Bedford 15 miles north of Paoli and South
Central Career Center is located in Rego
10 miles south of Paoli.
There are four colleges/ universities located within a 50 mile
radius of Paoli. A satellite office of the Area Learning Center is
located at the Paoli High School. The Area Learning Center
provides distance learning as well as on site
college courses.

there are 4 dentists, 2
chiropractors, 1 optometrist and 1 nurse
practitioner. There are 2 nursing homes and 1
convalescent center.

property is available in one to four
room apartments. Senior Citizen housing and new

Recreation
Located in rolling hills
with lakes and streams, Orange County offers
fishing, swimming, boating, water
skiing, hiking, horseback riding and hunting.
Paoli Peaks located in Paoli
offers downhill snow skiing. Hoosier National
Forest offers camping, hiking,
horseback riding. Spring Mill State Park
providing out door recreation
opportunities is located in the area. Paoli
Country Club offers a nine hole golf course and
French Lick Springs Resort offers a nine hole
golf course and an eighteen
hole golf course.

Orange
County has many artistic people who participate
in local events. "Orange
County Players” perform several times a year.
With in an hours drive, Louisville
and Indiana University at Bloomington provide
additional
entertainment and cultural events.
